Online status on my AP application shows that the "On May 15, 2012, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I131 APPLICATION FOR USCIS TRAVEL DOCUMENT."

I have not received the physical copy of AP yet.

I have travel plans for 5/24. Hopefully I will get the mailer before this date.

In case, if I dont receive the physical copy in time, can I still travel? I can have someone check my mail box and send me the document to my Indian address when it arrives.
Any thoughts?

Thanks !!

Certainly yes, if mailing a GC is not an issue for AP surely you can...

BUT... if this is the only document that you will use to enter back and if it does not come in the mail... then there are issues. Also, think about things getting lost in mail - AP to home and AP to your international address

Thanks for response...

It is good to know that you can travel but with certain risks. My lawyer also mentioned the same type of risk that is posted above...

I am partially relieved for now.. partially because my AP mailer came through, but my wifes didn't come yet. Hanging in as 24th closes in.

Thanks.
