Hello,

I am from India and the PD for my 485 application is May 2006. My wife too applied for the GC as a dependent and her place of birth is Malaysia. Will I fall under the ROW category or will my place of origin be considered as India with reference to the PD? Thank you.

You can fall under ROW category based on your wife's place of birth. I believe it is called interfiling

you can use your wife's country of chargeability to get approvals.
