According to the conservative estimates, the EB3 India/China would move one month/year. There are lot more people in the EB3 than EB2. Since, the numbers of visas are same for the both EB3 and EB2, the EB2 would move much faster than EB3. I've an appeal for all the EB3 people if you are:

a. from India and your priority date is before 09 JAN 2003
b. from china and your priority date is before 23 APR 2005
c. from ROW with any priority date

and, you qualify for EB2 now (you waited for so long for your labor, you may have 5yrs of experience), please consider re-filing your labor and/or I-140 in EB2 and retain your EB3 priority date. Of course, this does have financial impact on you or your company (whoever is enduring the GC process bill). But, it would help you and the EB3 community enormously by:

a. you will have the GC sooner (with 100's of potential benefits thereafter)
b. the EB3 community will have few less people in the queue with the hope that it would move little faster than current estimates.

Fellow EB3ians, please post this to other immigration websites too.

Yeah, great idea. If your company is game to reapply in EB2 or if you have a new employer.

Fellow EB3ians, please post this to other immigration websites too.
Dont understand why you want this posted on other websites. What is the purpose of your post?

If you want something to be posted, help us by posting about ImmigrationVoice on various websites. We are aimng to end retrogression and that will mean getting greencards for all EB 2 and 3 catagories.

Separate issues:

1. I wanted this to be posted on all the immigration websites to make sure we can reach out to all the GC process immigrants. All the people who believe in IV, do check this website often (includes me). But, I am sure there are many people for one reason for other thinks otherwise and I wanted to reach out to them too.

2. You are right that all the members should make efforts to spread words about IV to other immigrant websites and to their respective community/friend circle (I've spoken to couple of friends about it).

I dont think EB2 is in any better position than EB3, although priority dates of EB2 might move little bit faster. Already several EB3 applicants have started moving to EB2, and several new applications are being filed in EB2.
All it does is transfering problems from EB3 to EB2, and to be honest I dont understand why you are pushing this idea here on IV, as most of the people here already know about EB3 nd EB2 limitations.
If most of the EB3 applicants file in EB2, system may not be able to handle huge surge of new applications, and then what would you do? advise them to apply in EB1?? This is never ending story...so bottom line is let us all concentrate on weeding out the retrogression mess by working hard with IV.
