should we contact professional groups like American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (AAPI) and others like these and have their presidents send letters to law makers.
i think these groups are highly influential and might be sympathetic to our cause as most of the members in these groups have gone through the GC process and future members are probably stuck in this mess.

good proposal specifically considering that our side has no voice in current negotiations as per an article on the immigration-law website..........read below......
"As everyone knows by now, the CIR involves diverse immigrant groups and the ongoing compromise process involves the process of negotiation between the far right political forces and the far left political forces. In this process, the immigrants can initiate certain acts that can trigger a serious backfire from the opposing forces. The so-called compromise agreements of the two party leaders and the White House and the ongoing amendment process reflect that there is a strong resentment to the employment-based immigrants, especially by the far left forces. Accordingly, the employment-based immigration reform is currently under attack by both left and right forces in that the proposed overhaul of the legal immigration system by the far right political forces also turned out to be to restrict foreign immigration workers in the long run. In this regard, the illegal immigrants are attacked by only one force, to wit, the far right political forces, but the legal immigrants, particularly employment-based immigrants are surrounded by three forces, to wit, the far left political forces backed by the labor unions, the illegal immigrant supporters, and more importantly, family-based immigrant supporters who believe in the family unity. Without doubt, no matter how the CIR is amended in the next one week or so, it appears that the employment-based immigrants may turn out to be the ultimate victims in this legislative process. Some good lessons to learn from this tragic event.

A good thought! Now why don't you start contacting these groups instead of discussing it? We really need all the help we can get at this time, the core is busy in other lobbying initiatives.

purgan, i think contacting these groups personally is not very effective, we need to approach them the right way. if they get an email from some ajay, they won't care, but if they are contacted by immigrationvoice.com, they might give it a second look.
if u seniors disagree, then i can contact them. thanks.

Contact them saying, you are a member of Immigration voice. When you do get a good lead, PM the core and let them know. At that point core can give you advice about what to do next or get involved if they feel it beneficial for us.
