My wife is pregnant now and I was under the impression that all vaccinations will be waived for the time being. But I was told that Td vaccine will not be waived and she needs to take it. Can someone on the forum please post their experience on vaccinations during pregnancy? Did anyone managed to get the Td waived as well?
thanks

Do you mean tetanus ? Sorry I'm not sure what Td is ?
Whatever vaccination your wife is being asked to take, check with your gynaec and based on your gynaec's suggestion ,you will have to proceed.

no vaccinations should be administred during the pregnancy. Check with your gynacelogist before administering it.

I don't remember which one, but my wife was asked to take one vaccine. They asked her not to take MMR. For TB test, also, they suggested not to take x-ray, instead asked her to take some TFT blood test.. hope this info is helpful for you....

You might bget lucky by getting MMR waived but TD(Tetanus) will not be waived.
Xray can be waived but ppd will not be.if the reaction is +ve then the doctor might include that in the report and you will get a RFE later for xray.
Some guy in this forum had the same issue as yours . Please check the medical exam forums.

that is not true. Please do not give out false information. Vaccination that have live virus e.g. MMR, Chicken pox etc should not be give during pregnancy there are others that is ok. I have taken tetanus and TB test with my Ob's advice and it is fine. Also, no chest xrays are allowed.

Take a letter from your gyne....which says "no vaccinations"...and all ot them will get waived..except tetanus...which your wife must have gotten from her visit to gyne...

Tetanus vaccine is completly safe during pregnancy.
My post from another thread
My wife is 5 months pregnant and she had the skin test done. We verified with her OBGYN and got it cleared. She also had her tetanus shot which also got cleared by the OBGYN. Those are totally safe. Also for those that are pregnant, you can get the Rubella immunity evidence from the OBGYN clinic. This test is done as part of the first blood test that is done in the clinic. You can ask the clinic if the test shows Rubella immunity. If it does, you can get a note from the clinic and get the MMR waived too.

Td is Tetanus-Diptheria vaccine. Thanks you all for responding. I had to get a letter from OBGYN that both TB skin test and Td vaccine are fine before proceeding with the Immigration Doc.
Can anyone kindly shed some light on how safe / unsafe it is to get a Polio vaccination when you are pregnant ?
Thanks in advance.
