I have some important news concerning visa backlogs and information about cutoff date movements. It appears that the CIS will be posting their Employment I-485 demand totals on their Web site on a Worldwide and oversubscribed country basis by month, year, and category. This should happen when they go over to their new system next Tuesday. So, the good news is that we shouldn't have to guess. We should be able to see the raw data on the CIS site. Let's see what happens.
On another subject, I have it on good authority that for worldwide EB3:
By December we can expect that the cut-off date will be somewhere in the second half of 2003.
It is unsure if they will be able to move the EB3 date for November because the October allocation was very large.
The cut-off date should reach mid to late 2005 by late Winter or early Spring.
I hope everyone has a happy, restful weekend.

hope its true.
The more data we get, more is the output. We can see more accurate analysis.
After all we are IT guys, and thats our job

If this is true, and we shall only believe it when we see it, it atleast gives clarity to the pending demand issue, something which we as a community have been struggling for quite a while

alex99, thanks for posting this news, its really excellent that we will have a true and transparent picture of the backlogs.
Go to this link, i thought this pdf was posted on another thread
http://www.uscis.gov/USCIS/Office%20of%20Communications/Homepage/USCISLeadership%20%2811Aug09%29.pdf
Go down to page 5 and below - they have number of pre adjudicated cases etc. It is not for 485 in this screen shot, may be they will have it for every case type.
Once we see the details we will know if these mockups really got implemented the right way
