Now that USCIS has come out with the number of pending I-485 cases, it is obvious that no amount of spill over - vertical, horizontal, or what have you - will address the total backlog.
The only way out is visa recapture - it the least controversial and probably the most plausible. Visa recapture requires congressional action, and for any change in the law, we need to regularly meet our Senators and Reprentatives to apprise them of our predicament.
So folks, please come forward and join your respective state chapters - we need a large number of people to meet our Senators and Representatives.
I request those who have met with their congressmen/women, for whatever reason, to share their experience. I also urge those who have any questions or reservations about meeting congressmen/women to voice their thoughts - we can collectively address those concerns.
Here is the link for the GA state chapter (http://groups.google.com/group/goivgaiv). Please provide your Name and Phone number when you sign up.
Looking forward to welcoming you there.
Thanks.
