Dear Sir ,

There is a minor mismatch of my mother's name printed in my passport and in mother's passport. However, every other place, name is written correctly.

Visa Type - B2 Visa for USA
Sponsored By - Son

Will it create any issue while visa interview if there is a minor mismatch of names printed in my mother's passport and my passport? If so, what should be done to avoid this issue.

I will appreciate quick response.Thank You for help in advance.

Regards,
Amit

if it's just a minor spelling difference ...ie. Anita vs Anitha, I doubt it will be an issue.

The spelling of my name is different on different docs, and that has not been an issue for me.

However, if you have any other doc that proves your relationship and has her correct name, she should carry that for the interview. Eg. Birth Certificate.

Also, you can make an affidavit saying that two names are of one and the same person and have her take that along. But I think this would be overkill. (I had to do this for my GC application)

Hope that helps.
