I plan on travelling to India with my child using Qatar airways via Doha. I would like to know if any of you have experienced this airline and have any comments? Especially if any of you have travelled with a child on this airline.

Thanks!

Excellent air lines. I traveled last year and had nice experience. Always on time or little before scheduled time. Nice food. New Boeing aircraft with good leg room and entertainment facility. Nice food as well. Two months back my mom traveled back alone to India with Qatar (although she was not speaking English) and staff took enough care for her. I would recommend this Qatar Airlines.

Currently the best airlines. My parents travelled twice and my wife once and they all had excellent feedback. More legspace considerate airhostess and awesome food / entertainment. Definately better than BA or Air France.

I travelled about a year back and found it to be really good. No hassles, on time, good food, considerate staff and above all, probably one of the shortest flight time... from JFK to HYD in about 18 hours. My wife and and 6 month old son as well are travelling by Qatar in Jan.

I went 6 months ago on Qatar. If you are traveling on off season, most likely the flight will be completely empty :)

I have some videos about the interior of aircraft. Will post on youtube soon. Great service, good leg room, excellent aircraft till Doha.

FYI, Gold in Doha airport is not at market rate. Think twice before you buy any gold at Doha airport.

What about the flight from Doha-India-Doha. Any feedback on that?

I traveled to India Via Doha 4 years back. I was disappointed with the Doha airport as it was very very small and packed to full. Did not get a place to sit while i was waiting for my flight. Hated the wait in night as i was standing for more than 2 hours to get a place.

The airport doesn't have bridges to the flight and are transported to the flight in buses. I am not sure if this has changed now.

Flight to India had six seats in a row with a gap in between. Common entertainment system with few LCDs popping out from the ceiling. Food was good.

Reviews of the airport might help u decide

I travelled by Qatar Air Lines three times and again travelling with family in December. I did not enquire about any other air lines due to issues like Transit Visas etc. I like the flight etc. Yes Air Port is a small one and getting a seat to sit near the gate is difficult. But it was only for a couple of hours for me, so I think it's ok. Coming to the flight from Doha to Hyderabad, it's a small flight and all the times it was full. Compared to other air lines I felt Qatar air lines is the best one. Review for air-port and air-lines are different. From the link (posted in previous post), DOha has 3 star rating where as Qatar has 5 star.
