Visitor Visa to England, and Europe

Hi,

Currently on 485 pending, with EAD and AP. H1B approved, but no valid visa stamped on the passport.

Planning to visit Europe coming summer, including London (traveling by BA). Any experiences, how easy is it to get visitor visas to UK and other European countries? Any experiences, thoughts?

It is easy. I had applied late last year for UK and got it in 3 days (I live in a city where there is a UK consulate). For UK you have to give finger print at the USCIS office (where you will give FP for your 485). Once you give FP and send in the passport with all documents, it is a very easy.

For other Eurpoean countries (most of them ) you will need Schengan visa. Again once you prove you are just a tourist and show proof that you will leave the country, it should be easy. In summer I had applied for Swedish consulate and they took 2 weeks. There is a way to expedite by fax and calling them and they will do it.


Schengan visa will be issued for the day you enter and the day you leave not a day extra unlike UK visa
