Although I originally had a B1 visa stamp in my passport, I entered the US on a H1 visa. However while working for the employer on the H1, I recently got laid off and returned back to India. Now the H1 visa stamp is no longer valid but the B1 is valid for the next 8 Years. My question is, is it legal for me to come to US on this visitor visa in my passport.

Your immediate response will be highly appreciated.

Kind Regards

As long as it is not cancelled (CWOP) in your passport, you can use B1 to enter US for business or pleasure - should not use to seek employment.
