As per this reporter, in CIR there is a provision of recapturing H1B visa, which is full of crap.

Immigration Bill Proposes H-1B Visa Changes -- H-1B Visas -- InformationWeek (http://www.informationweek.com/news/services/business/showArticle.jhtml?articleID=222002313)

I wrote an email to the reporter (mmcgee@techweb.com) and CEO ( tuphoff@techweb.com ) rebuking their article. You all might want to do that as well.

Just read the article and its pure bilge! Propaganda and disinfromation campaign, similar to things that have turned the healthcare debate into a circus.

Sending a note to the author right away... though I fear the damage has already been done.

I think we all should send her a polite email about how her interpretation is incorrect. She is usually a good writer in Technology articles. May be she was in rush for her vacation...and did not collect all the facts.( I knew this from the vacation-response)

Include the page numbers of the bill, if you will. ( I did include 495 and 525 for reference)

I am seeing similar stuff from computer world!

Lawmakers want more H-1Bs, new 'Founders Visa' (http://www.computerworld.com/s/article/9142341/Lawmakers_want_more_H_1Bs_new_Founders_Visa_)

But i am unable to see the mentioning of the same in the bill !

Search Results - THOMAS (Library of Congress) (http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/z?c111:H.R.4321:)

Am I missing something ?!!

I sent email to Ms McGee of InformationWeek for not presenting facts in her article. She replied that she did not have all the information at the time of writing the article, but is prepared to refresh the article shortly.

IMO, most of them are honest and responsible writers, we must be prepared to cut them some slack.

looks like she already refreshed it...

I didn't get any reply from her, may be because I was fuming when I wrote the email.

I was very polite and cordial. Basically, I have read her prior articles and assumed that it could have been a honest mistake. Because the article was posted in less than 24 hours after the bill was announced and the bill has over 500 pages.:)
