My Attorney just send out the response letter yesterday (May25th). I think the deadline for the response is May 29th. Since the 27th,28th and the 29th are holidays is my application doomed?

My attorney just faxed back the form instead of mailing it. If your application is in PBEC, the fax number is 484-2701600

I contacted the attorney and she said that they actually overnighted the response and she tracked the package which was delivered at 9:30 am today. Thank God!
Thanks for your response though. Any idea how long it takes after they get the response for the 45 day letter?
Just a small note - I have sent mails to the two representatives of Minnesota Senator Norm Coleman and Senator Mark Dayton about our plight. I think all members should send faxes or e-mails to each of their representatives regarding our plight. I am from Bangladesh but I think we should all combine our effort to resolve our common issues.
Thanks

I have seen people here whose 45 day letter was responded to over a year ago and have not heard anything after that. I believe te next correspondence from DOL will be when they actually start processing your application which can be anytime between now and....who knows.
DOL says they will be done with ALL Backlog by Oct 2007. Not sure how much to believe this. Also the CIR that just passed Senate has a provision which forces DOL to finish all backlog in 270 days after the bill becomes a law (i.e. IF the bill becomes a law following the conference between Senate and house AND IF the provision remains intact in the combined version of the bill). So, if we say that the Bill will become a law by Jan 2007 (no reason to believe this....just an arbitrary date chosen by me), then DOL will be required to finish all backlogs by Oct. 2007. So, both the scenarios mentioned above, DOL may be required to finish by Oct 2007. We just have to wait and watch.
