If you are planning to get some returns by attending business networking events then you have to have the business up and running first.
This way you can meet people who are also running businesses in the same area where you are working and then form partnerships.

To get a jump start on starting businesses, you pretty much on your own.
The best would be form a group such as this thread and share idea first.

Organizations like 'tie' are of no use for us. Again this is my opinion.

Sorry I missed the conference which I would have loved to attend. You all have good points to be discussed, and I got busy with some business meetings yesterday at couple of locations.
