L1B Extension

Hi All, Greetings.
I have a L1B visa valid till this November(2010), but I have my I-94 till next November(2011).
My Question is : When I am applying for L1B extension and in case if my extension was rejected, will my I-94 (Valid till November-2011) be valid after that also?
