Default H1B to Green Card - Do I need F1 to go to Business School while AOS is pending?

I am in the 4th year of my H1B and getting married to a US citizen in June. I will be applying for AOS following the wedding in July. I have a couple of questions about my status from the time that I apply for the AOS:

1. Can I continue working for my H1B sponsor after I file for AOS?
2. If so, what, if any, steps do I need to take to maintain status?
3. If I decide to attend business school full time in September, while the AOS is pending, do I need to change status to F1?

I will not be traveling internationally until December, by which time my GC may or may not be issued. What steps do I need to take to travel while the AOS is pending?

Thank you all very much,
Neha

2. If so, what, if any, steps do I need to take to maintain status? - Nothing. You just continue working on H-1B.

3. If I decide to attend business school full time in September, while the AOS is pending, do I need to change status to F1? - If you decide to go to B school, you need to have a visa. You cannot do so on H-1B. H-1B is work authorization. So you need a F1.

When you file for AOS, you should also file for AP. This way you can safely travel in & out of US. I would suggest not to travel bcoz there will be finger printing etc involved once you file for AOS.

Thank you all very much,
Neha
