Portability of PD and I-140 with job loss

Portability only possible after 485 filed
Unfortunately, there is no permanent residence portability allowed until the Adjustment of status (I-485) has been filed and is pending for 180 days. If you lose your job before then, you need to start the permanent process from scratch with the new employer I'm sorry to say.
