Your best option seems to be to take citizenship at earliest possible date. After that sponsoring for your wife should be piece of cake.
As far as I know, for visitor visa you have to have to at least show you will return back to home country. I don't know how you can make a strong case with your situation. H-1 is best option as it would be dual intent. Please share your experience if you figure out a better way, I know someone who will most likely end up in a similar situation.
