Default PORT EB3 to EB2 with 3 Year Bachlor Degree

Hi,

My Green Card Application was filled with EB3 category as well I-140 is approved two years back. Can I port to EB2 with the Same Employer with a different position? I have a 3 year Bachlor Degree. Any inputs will really be helpful.

Thanks much,,

There is a very high chance of reject for a 3 year degree. But with the waiting time between EB3 and EB2, there are some who are taking that risk.

Thanks for the valuable information, I am wondering if anyone tried to port to EB2 with my Scenario as well if any success ? I believe if the EB2 filling gets rejected then still my EB3 filling remains Active with no issues. Is that correct ? Thanks ,,

Existing EB3 is no issue as long as your new EB2 position is significantly different.
EB2 - GC position should require either Master's (OR) 4-Yr bachelors + 5 Yrs experience.
You should have acquired these BEFORE joining present company.

You should somehow your 3-yr degree+some PG certifications are equal to 4-Yr degree.. Thats tricky!
