Default Re-entry in US with no EAD

Hi, I urgently need help.

I am an F1 stuendt on my post-completion OPT. I had received my EAD in November 2011 but in a move lost it. I have applied for a replacement in Jan 2012 and was hoping to receive it By March 2012.
I am outside the US (In India) becauseit was compulsory for me to travel on an urgent matter. I have not yet received my EAD replacement. Can I still reenter the US?

I have a valid F1 and Indian Passport. My I-20 is also current with travel signature on page 3, and my OPT information on tha same page. I also happen to have a photocopy of my original EAD card and the mail letter it was sent in. I have the I-797c of the receipt of application of my EAD card too.I also have an offer of employement with me and can show my current payslips to prove my employment too.

Please help as I have to travel back in next 2 week. Will I be able to reenter US or will I have to wait to get my EAD card?

Default

You should be able to reenter with your current F1 visa. Just carry all the docs related to your replacement EAD just in case. Good luck.

Default You do not need EAD to reenter

At port of entry, they check valid visa or advance parole or green card or citizenship status only. If you have valid visa staped in the passport, you do not need EAD.

I came back from India using my AP and nobody asked me abou tmy EAD. I hope this will help.
