Arrow 3 years regardless

Even if you transfer to Employer B, you will still get unlimited 3 year extensions based on your I-140 from Employer A until your priority date is current.

I was on H1b for 12 years with 5 different employers and after my I-140 approval with employer B i received 3 year extensions for all subsequent employers.

Arrow right away

GC is for future job so you don't need to be an employee when they start the lc process.

some companies have a rule that you have to be an employee for x years before they file for lc, check with your employer.

employer B can start the perm process right away, even before you start on Oct 1st.

good luck
