Yes, its illegal. I had this issue once..I sent a mail to HR of my company, and they promptly corrected the issue. You can try mentioning that. As per the law, you are entitled for a fixed salary above the prevailing wage ( you can remove any bonus etc that some consultant companies like mine adds to the salary structure.)

I'd a quick comment/question on this :
1. can the employer come back and say that this is salary they're willing to offer in future ? and you might get increments over a period of time, which will get your salary to that figure ? 2. How do you know the job posting is for you ? it doesn;t carry your name on it when its posted in the office area ? Please correct me if I'm missing something here... |
