Default Livaos IV Fee for Neopost ds-1200

I have received this letter (livaos IV fee for neopost ds-1200) from National Visa Center (NVS), regarding to my green card case. The letter includes my name, case number, benefiricary ID, invoice ID number and amount due of $405.00.

Does it mean that my GC is nearing?
I would appreciate your opinion on this.

Thank you,

Thank you,
Those are the initial steps for Consular Processing. But, your PD seems very far. Are you using another PD via EB2 or something?

Thank you,
I got the same letter today, what does that indicate of my GC status?
Plus I was in India for some time and came back to US, so I want to do AOS now instead of CP. Let me know what needs to be done. I know I have to contact attorney (which I will do anyway), but still any information would be helpful. Thanks in Adv.

I am on EB-3.
It has been a while since I received that LIVAOS notice; last August.

I am not an attorny, so please do not rely on my opinion.

I think the LIVAOS is nothing more than a notice that your priority date is nearing.
From what I heard and researched, LIVAOS won't do any good, unless your priority
date is already due. When I received the LIVAOS letter, I thought I got lucky. When it is too good to be true, it is.

Among many other things, I would recommend that you consult with your lawyer about the different advantages and disadvantages between CP and AOS. And I do hope that your lawyer is familiar with your situation, so he/she/they can provide you the most suitable solution to your case.
