Default AP filing address - which service center

Hi All,
I am for the first time filing my AP renewal myself and needs some help. I have been living in California for last 7 years and all my GC related applications are filed to Nebraska Service Center. But now I have moved to NJ and according to the instruction on AP document I should send it to Texas Service Center. I am kindda worried about that since all my documents are in NSC and now if I file my AP extension in Texas Service Center can that cause any problem? I will like to send it to NSC - is there a problem if I file at NSC though I should ( as per the instruction document) should send to TSC ?

Thanks
SB

You should be sending to Texas Service center as this has jurisdiction over NJ.

I had a little bit of similar case. I was also from CA and filed my 485 in Nebraska. Then my 485 was transfered to Texas. When I wanted to file my EAD I had the same confusion whether I should file in Texas as my I-485 is transfered and pending here or file in Nebraska as this center has jurisdiction over OH.

Then I decided to file in Nebraska as per the instructions (should be file in service center that has jurisdiction over your state) and got approval in 2 weeks.

Hope this helps.

Thanks
