Post advice required on sponsoring for B2 visa

Hi,

What is the minimum qualification for sponsoring some one visitor visa. I just came to U.S. on L1 visa around 4 days back and want to call my mother on visitor visa. I got 1 month of salary in advance and have opened a bank account. I am still waiting for my ssn(social security number ) to come, so haven't stated working till. Can some one please guide me what is the criteria for sponsoring some one on visitor visa.

Regards,
Mayank Jain

You have to wait at least a few months before sponsoring your family members - i am not sure if it is a rule, but it just makes common sense.
You need to fill out form I 134
Employment letter, that says whether your job is permanent or temporary, salary info
Pay stubs, at least 3-4
Bank letter - that tells when you opened the acct, present balance, average balance for the past year (which is going to be difficult for you)
Bank statements for the past 6 months - which again is going to be impossible for you currently
Invitation letter
Relationship documents/proofs

In my opinion, 4 days is way to unrealistic to sponsor for visitors visa. Don't waste money and time when the high probability of this will result in a denial.
