Company was bought by another company - GC process again?
My H1B expires on 06/2014. My I-140 is approved and my priority date is 11/2009. I cannot filed for I-485 (adjustment of status) until my date becomes current.
My company, located in Florida, was bought by a company in North Carolina. Any future employment will be available in NC because employees were acquired as part of the deal.
Do I have to start my GC process all over again? My current company is not going to withdraw the existent process. What would happen if I wait until my priority date becomes current and I am employed with another company which is not the one in NC?
Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.
