Default H1 Amendment - can it be filed in 1-2 weeks of moving to new work location

I am in India. I have got H1b stamped with client A and location X. I plan to travel to US. On landing, my employer may ask me to work for client B at location Y. They have a pre-approved LCA for location Y and will file H1 Amendment in 1 week. Do I need to wait for amendment approval (several months) or for amendment receipt to come (few days) before I can go to location Y.

Yes it can be filed in 1-2 weeks of moving to new Client location! Amendment is required to file, you can still continue to work with your older approved petition and with the receipt notice and new LCA filed.
