Job Title v/s Job Function

Background:

I-140 was cleared in Feb 2007.
My I-485 was filed in 2007 July-August - EB3 Category - as a Software Engineer.
Working on EAD for last couple of years. Original H1b expired in 2011
There is a job Offer that includes using my Engineering and scripting skills to demonstrate to clients in order to 'sell' a company's product and services. The job description may include almost all the current tasks and activities, with additional ones that may include extensive 'potential client engagement'.

Question: If I take a job offer, as a Sales Engineer, which utilizes my 'same' Engineering skill to achieve sales for an organization, will I be within 'Same or similar' role? Could there be any risk to my Green Card due to this?
