Smile H1B Layoff, Changed to B2, got a job...

I was on H1B and got laid off in February 2012, my H1b still had 30 months
to go. I changed my visa to B2 visa so that I can still stay in US. My B2
visa approved and will expire in Mid-August. I have planned to return home
in mid August before my visa expires.

However, I recently found a job, but have not received the official offer
yet. The official offer will come next week, but I have to leave US in mid-
August and come back after getting my new visa. Since I am leaving in Mid-
August, all the immigration paper work will not be able to complete before I
leave. I am not sure how will my H1b processed. I am guessing the new
company still need to apply my H1b through USCIS although I am not
physically in US? Will my B2 visa affect my H1b visa application? Will I
get rejected when I go to the embassy for my H1B visa stamping?

Anyone has experience or know anything about this? Please help to provide
suggestion or answer. Thank you very much.

Why don't you apply for status change from B2 to H1 and premium processing for H1 ?
