Post Can I Work in US only With based on the L1 petition approval from USCIS

Hi , I got a call from one Company A from US. They are ready to sponsor me L1B Visa.

I'm currently holding US B1/B2 Visa and its valid for another 7 Years. So the employer is telling me that. I can Fly to USA a B1/B2 VISA and they can work based on the L1 petition approval from USCIS with Immigration I-94 Card.

Could some one please let me know is this possible. or i should go for L1 Visa stamping once i get my L1 Petition approved.

Plz suggest which is safe.

It is illegal to work on B1/B2 visa. It is also a misuse of visa. Sooner or later you maybe caught. Especially if you were to apply for extension or greencard at a future date. They will scrutinize your history on visas.

You should first get L1B approval in your home country, get a appointment for interview to get stamping and fly worry free to your new job.

A piece of advice. Do full research on company A. There are companies who are fraud or exploit people. Do not get trapped and regret.

You should come only with a stamped L1B visa. Enter on L1B visa and not B1 visa. It seems like the company is trying to abuse laws for their immediate advantage. they want you quick so that you can start work and they make quick money. But if there is a problem later in your visa, you will be responsible and not the company. Be on the safe side. If the company is a consulting company, beware.
