For the best answer, you need to answer the below- Did you pay the H1B fee? To whom you have addressed the check to?

Thank you very much for your prompt reply. Greatly appreciate.
I paid the money to my company who has applied for my H1B. I am not too sure whom they will address the check to. They only sent me the Fedex tracking no. which tells that the application is received by USCIS, Vermont on April 7th. I am fine if it is taking time but my only concern is whether this company has really sent my H1B petition. Is there any way to find it out? Regds, Vani |

If the company can get copies of the cashed checks for filing fees from the bank, they should have the receipt number stamped on them.

While it is usually best to have your company (or legal representative) communicate directly with USCIS, it is possible to contact them directly to determine if your petition has been received. You will need to know which office the petition was filed at (based on the location of the employment it should have been CSC or VSC) and the date of filing.
After you provide some personal information, you may be able to receive your receipt number verbally. Unfortunately this has worked in some instances, but not in others - so good luck. If this does not work, your company should be able to confirm if the checks were cashed. If so, your receipt number should be stamped on the back of the checks. |

Hi Vani,
Even I have not yet received receipt number for the H1 application filed on 7-April-2009 by my employer in NJ USA. I was also given fedex tracking number for the application that was sent on 7-April-2009. But there is really no clue if the packet sent was really mine. So we are hopeless. Are you still in contact with your employer about the H1 application case? Let me know if you get any updates. |

Hi Vani,
I applied for H1B through a NJ based consultancy company for year 2010. I haven't got any receipt number though my employer claims to have fedexed my application on April 6th. Have u been able to get in touch with USCIS regarding your application. Pls update. |

![]() It seems that NJ based consultancy firm "Segicorp" is fraud because it has taken money on behalf of H1B aplications from many candidates and there is no response yet. Segicorp is giving same reply to all that applications was couriered thru fedex and waiting for reply from USCIS. They are just fooling as there is no prrof that our application packets was really couriered to USCIS. If they had really sent our application packet then we would have atleast received Receipt number. All of many friends who have applied thru other consultants has received receipt number long back and are waiting for their status. If we had atleast received receipt number and no approval, then also we would have been convinced that approval depends on USCIS and NOT on segicorp. But Segicorp had nicely and smartly enjoyed everyones money and are free without any problems. Now from last few weeks they are not even replying any emails or phone calls. This clearly indicates that it was very well planned fraud. They should really be sent to jail.
