Default Accounting Assistant and H1B

Hi All,

My company decided me to sponsor for H1B. I'm an entry-level accountant there or accounting assistant. But my wage is less than $47K. Does it mean that I can't be sponsored for H1B? What can I do?

Thank you

Default Lca

If your job title and prevailing wage in LCA, if it is less than $47k (offered), you can file H1B, by theory. Salary must be equal or more than in LCA.
Practical:
I don't know, if they approve a assistant job. Mostly H1B for speciality occupation. Not for a regular office help.

I am just wondering, are there any CPAs working on H1b? Do any company file H1b for a CPA? What are the changes of getting an H1b sponsor and H1b visa for MCOM(indian) + CPA. Any Inputs are appreciated.

Salary depends upon location also.
$50K for a job in LCA in New York or California may be equal to $40 for same job in Indiana, Arizona etc..
GOOGLE IS YOUR BEST FRIEND FOR YOUR QUESTION.
