Everytime something happens, Pakistan seeks to bring attention to the Kashmir issue. Let us set aside the reasons of the importance of Kashmir to the fundamental principles on which the concept of "India" relies on. Pakistan by any stretch of the imagination is a failed state with a bleak future. Now why would Kashmiris want to be part of this failed system?
On the other hand you have India, with all its problems, is the only functioning democracy, with all the chaos, democracy still works. With all our problems, we were blessed with visionaries. We can claim that we are positioned to address issues in the near future, India has a foundation of a nation, which is so strong that a villager who earns $1 a day and has probably never seen New Delhi knows that with his/her vote can shape his destiny.

I think we need to leverage Thomas Friedman. I think the EB issue is just a small piece of the much bigger pie here. I would love to see a Sheela Murthy and Thomas Friedman pitted against Lou Dobbs and Ron Hira.
I have this belief in me, being an Indian. I do not hate Lou Dobbs, but I believe we can win him. All we need is a second class tick on the great Indian railways and send Lou on a tour across India. If Lou is not touched by the kindness shown by random Indians who make less than a dollar a day, then I think I must admit my core belief is wrong.
