Yes - I have missed $1100 one on Monday and it wen to 1600 yesterday.

It was really worth waiting - I got it today at $645.

Even after purchase could not believe it untill I got it confirmed from BA site.

Hope the same worth waiting principle will come true in GC too....

well this is true, I didnt book the ticket, but I entered the dates Departure: 15 Nov 09, Arrival: 7 Mar 10, IAH to Mumbai return trip. it gave the price of 589$

I purchased ticket for $569 from orbitz and got cancellation after few hours. So I guess it was a price mistake and BA is not honoring the purchase.

I did not get any cancelation notice so far.Even now It is good on BA site so far.
Let us see what happens.

Many of my frds did purchase and none got cancellation so far.

Go to Sleek deals and you will see many Indians have tickets and good so far.

people even were able to buy first class/business class , at the same price,
unfortunately mine was cancelled.
airlines cant cancel after ticket number is issued.

Default BA Cancelling Tickets
it seems after confirming the tickets, BA is cancelling the tickets on the grounds of invalid fare. Did anyone else also got cancellation. Is that legal? Can we take any legal help.

and some websites like priceline is not returning the full money also.

I had earlier replied to this thread. However it was deleted by admin guys.... ( I know who it is)

My wife runs an online travel agency.. There were 7 tickets issued for BA with that fare.

What happened was British Airways Database had problem. Some body from BA put the wrong fare.

As usual airline has the upper hand here.
If u booked this with a travel agency then, there is an agreement between travel agency and airline that if there is anything wrong with the fare by Airline, travel agency has to pay the difference.

If u bought online from BA site, there is somewhere it says airline can revise the price at any time..

Later she had to reissue these tickets for around $1500

rajeshalex, I booked ticket through orbitz.com but when I call them they say BA cancelled the ticket and there is nothing they can do. When I call BA they agree that they cancelled the ticket because of invalid fare. Is there anything I can do legally?

Did you book your ticket on October 2nd? From which website did you book your ticket? Do you know why it took so long to get confirmation.
