Travel on OPT after graduation

Hello

I graduated with a Masters Degree in the Sciences from the US in May 2009. Prior to graduation, I applied for my OPT. A week after graduation, I had to travel to India due to a death in the family. Currently I am still in India. My OPT application has already been approved and my EAD card was mailed out to my address last month. I would like to know if I can return to the country. I haven't found a job as yet.
