What actions have you taken till now - Raised SR on July 22, response received on 4th August, it says "case in line to be pulled by an officer, give that officer about 60-90 days".

Also took infopass and the lady at infopass said that officer has recommanded to deny my case and if his supervisor agrees they will send denial letter.

Case transferred from TSC to NSC in July 2011.
reply to Senator's query on Sep 1, 2011 - "response was received on aug 25, please allow 60 days for processing"
Reply to my email on Sep 9 - "response received on aug 25, please allow 30 days for processing".

What was the RFE you got on your 485...? Just curious. I got RFE on mine and waiting for the notice. And also Who received the notice You or Your attorney or both..? How long it took to receive notice after they issue RFE.

My attorney received the RFE. It was for Employee Verification and to also prove that I was in legal status since July 2007. All stupid crap since all of this was sent with the new I-140 petition. My attorney [in GA] got the RFE in the mail within 5 business days.

Thank you so much for your time respond back to me. so far 13 days completed, either me or my attorney haven't receive the RFE notice yet. Just crossing my fingers and waiting for the notice. Even my attorney also in GA too.

Finally, my case was approved after my persistent requests. I received my card yesterday. I would like to thank all the members for the constant support.

The frustrating part was that they told me during local office interview that everything looks good and it will be approved after the numbers are current. Then, it was transferred to TSC to speed up the process. Recently, they moved it back to NSC again to "speed up" the process.

congrats GC_ASP... I can only imagine how relieved you should be now

One thing I am noticing here is that more than 50% of the waiting cases are the ones which are transferred from TSC to NSC.... is it just coincidence, or does NSC have some issue with processing transfer cases?

I would advise you to send an email to nsc.followup [you can google for the exact email address] and ask them to re-send the RFE or provide you the text of what it needs.

Looks like all the cases are stuck in NSC (maybe with the same case officer !)
The oct visa bulletin did hint at the possibility of retrogression further down the road. With that in mind, is there anything we can do to get a resolution to the pending cases?
With thanksgiving round the corner, maybe we can start sending in some glazed hams... I still have a couple of coupons left over from the flower campaign ...Ideas welcome!

Thank you. It appears from my e-mail communications with NSC and replies from senator, the service centers are having issues with processing transfer cases. I took congressman and senators help. I also sent the e-mail to NSC followup. During my first e-mail, I was told that the case it at NSC, but not with an officer and expect a decision in 30 days. I waited 30 days, but no news. I replied to the same e-mail and told them I waited 30 days. Within 3-4 days, I got the approval.
For people who got struck, I recommend contacting through NSC follow up e-mail. At least, it was fruitful in my case even though it took a while for them to reply.

What information did you provide in the email to NSC-follow up (ncscfollowup.nsc@dhs.gov)? I just received a reply to my SR saying "As of this date, your case remains pending until a visa issuance becomes available according to yourp priority date and category. Please check visa bulletin for your visa updates." which is ridiculous! my priority date (Sep 26 2006) has been current since the June bulletin.

Until now there was some hope to receive the magical email. But now we probably have to wait until next year, unless the experts think I'm wrong.

What frustrates me is folks with PD in 07 got approved and received GC before us. What's the use of PD then?

I put in the subject line "485 pending and priority date current". In the body of the e-mail, I gave all the details, such as receipt number, receipt date, DOB, A#, PD etc. I also attached my receipt number. I mentioned that my PD was current and I would like to know when it will be adjudicated. I also mentioned that I completed my biometrics as well.
