H4s already have a work permit. They are permitted to work at home.
Why do you want cheap competition for yourself in the market. If your spouse is so good why is she scared of competing for H1 visa. You need to stop parroting H4 all the time. You maybe trying to post to have fun. If you were in pain you would be helping out IV. |

Contents and finer details of the deal are not yet out. This could be due to fact that details are still being worked out by the various parties.
From attending lobby days, I can say that IV has been the organization that has represented our plight and has reached all law maker offices. Almost all the law makers and their legislative aids now know about pain of backlog on the EB side of immigration. This was not the case in 2006. This is mainly due to the relentless work done by the core. The volunteers who came for rallies and lobby days helped as well. All the lobbying work has created a lot of visibility for IV, so IV website gets a lot of visits for everyone (including law maker offices, WhiteHouse staff). Do not post anything that can irritate and change the mood of the people (law makers and their staff) who are going to be working on the details of the bill (senate and house). I understand the frustration level among us, but please do not reply or post any comments that will make us look arrogant or like snobs or narrow minded(EB2 vs EB3, H4 EAD vs i485 pending EAD, India vs ROW etc, etc) . This is not the time for such posts. Keep all comments and replies positive. Consider becoming a donor. |

What's in Senate immigration plan? - CNN.com
It talks about removing backlogs, green cards to STEM graduates... Outlines about legal immigration from above cnn link: Improving our Legal Immigration System and Attracting the World's Best and Brightest ? The development of a rational legal immigration system is essential to ensuring America's future economic prosperity. Our failure to act is perpetuating a broken system which sadly discourages the world's best and brightest citizens from coming to the United States and remaining in our country to contribute to our economy. This failure makes a legal path to entry in the United States insurmountably difficult for well-meaning immigrants. This unarguably discourages innovation and economic growth. It has also created substantial visa backlogs which force families to live apart, which incentivizes illegal immigration. ? Our new immigration system must be more focused on recognizing the important characteristics which will help build the American economy and strengthen American families. Additionally, we must reduce backlogs in the family and employment visa categories so that future immigrants view our future legal immigration system as the exclusive means for entry into the United States. ? The United States must do a better job of attracting and keeping the world's best and brightest. As such, our immigration proposal will award a green card to immigrants who have received a PhD or Master's degree in science, technology, engineering, or math from an American university. It makes no sense to educate the world's future innovators and entrepreneurs only to ultimately force them to leave our country at the moment they are most able to contribute to our economy. |
