IV Contributions and Headlines

Greetings.

Thanks for all the hard work of the volunteers - I visit this
site atleast once a day.

Couple of things that I notice.

Why hasn't the contributions page been updated after June 5th ?
The date (June 5th) and the amount $141+K seems etched in stone.
It's now more than two months. Hopefully there are pleasant updates
to those numbers. Am sure many others would like to see those
updates too [I for one contributed after that june 5th date - so
would like to see my humble contribution in the total]

The second thing is the headline about House passing the manager's
amendment. Given that it is stalled at Senate and lots of other
blocking stones, as big as it maybe I think it is not as relevant a
headline anymore. For a moment, I see the word "approved" and
my heart leaps with a wish that something new got approved only
to note the date...of late I am tuning my eye to see the date first.

Just a few thoughts.

The CIR package is not stalled in the Senate, it is stalled in the House of Representatives. This legislation was passed in the Senate on, or around, May 25th.

there are a couple of things that need immediate update.
- the contributions page with updated figure.
- the IV in the news page with latest news stories with IV featured in them.
Lately IV core has had its hands full in trying to get our provisions in upcoming sessions and using this CIR stalemate time to influence more lawmakers. We are also making efforts to get more media attention and raise awareness. Efforts on these fronts will position us much better as soon as an opportunity comes our way in the legislative machinery of this country.
Thanks for your comments, patience and support. Lets hope our volunteer efforts bear fruits soon enough.
