The feeling I generally get is positive... Mr King has his opinion, and we should certainly respect it, even if we disagree: He is after all, an elected representative reflecting the views of his constituents.
However, Mr. Sensenbrenner, a Republican immigration hawk, is a co-sponsor, and the other Republicans on the panel do not agree with Mr Kings amendments, so this bill looks quite bi-partisan.
Of course, my view may be premature.. let us see..

This is actually good. Think about it... the only reason King is doing this is because he wants to run the bill out of time. If he needs to do that to stop it, the bill must be having some pretty stron support in the committee.

This is the Jeff Session tactic where u offer too many amendment so that the time runs out and than the markup is for another date. In this case, next yr. Thats what is happening here with King. There is nothing the chair can do but to the max call a colture or pull the bill from voting !!!!
