I have observed almost no activity on the forums lately. Also the Latest Forum posts have disappeared from the RHS of the Homepage.


Is everything ok?

Just wanted to update that you have not seen a lot of folks from IV core team posting because they are busy meeting important folks in DC. Also, some IV members like stucklabor and berkeleybee are busy collecting statistics to provide to lawmakers and have been working throughout the weekend on it (I'd guess atleast total of 16 hours over the weekend).

That does not leave much time to post new threads, does it? ;-)

And NO one can predict anything about the legislation passing this year. Not even the Prez. We can all hope/wish/pray/try that it does and if it indeed does, that our pro-immigrant legislations are a part of it.

The folks in DC are doing a tremendous job and hopefully something good will come out of it.

Don't take everything thrown at you by lawyers too seriously. There is a LOT of activity going on, and for your lawyer to opine specifically on backlog reduction w/o something solid back that up, is not too clever.

This being an election year, chances are , something will get done rather than not.
Keep your eyes and ears open, immigration issues are heating up on the hill.

The core members have done lot of good work ! please do not discourage. Most of the times the immigration attorney just randomly throw the news without any proper evidence.
Shouldn't your immigration attorney (as part of AILA) be asking for transparency rathen than giving out discouraging news to you? Well you should be questioning him/her rather than putting up lowly remarks here on the forum ! Remember the core team members have full time job just like you.

My immigration attorney feels bad for the situation we all are in and he is reaching out to other clients and educating about IV's activities. So, let's stay positive.
