So let me get it straight. If immigrants say how they feel about immigration lawyers then its blasphemy, but when lawyers call Senators devil it is "freedom of speech". Very good.

If you disagree with Senator Grassley then it ok to call him a devil. But when we immigrants disagree with immigration lawyers opposing out bill, then it is "unreasonable" "unfair"???? Because immigration lawyers are holier than thou - according to you, its BLASPHEMY to call out immigration lawyers even when they the devil. Isn't that what you said in your last two posts?

Of everything I have seen, this is the most outrageous of all the arguments.

Do you think an employer is going to want to go on to file a green card application with an agency that has unchecked power over employers.

The courts are also going to lose their power to to review what DOL is doing under a separate jurisdiction stripping provision. And, believe me, government agencies that have don't have to worry about a judge watching what they're doing act accordingly.

If you think that employers being punished by DOL doesn't have an impact on H-1B workers, talk to the hundreds of teachers employed by the Prince George's County School System who ended up being terminated after the DOL said that the teachers covering some of the government filing fees for their H-1Bs (itself an arguably illegal requirement of the DOL) was enough to bar the school system from using the H-1B program for two years. The teachers lost their jobs and the kids lost their teachers. Not exactly the happy result defenders of the DOL on this forum portray.

I want 3012. But this is a deal with the devil. Charles Grassley doesn't have a pro-immigration bone in his body.

There has been an embargo on information for new donor members after HR3012 was introduced. This was done in the interest of the bill since we are in a precarious stage where any information leaked could hurt the overall effort. The other reason was lack of time to manage access issues. Please bear with us. We have been super busy. All this is done in the interest of the bill which is the goal of each one of us. Having donor access to get info will not do any good if there is a detriment to the bill.. At a later date we may open access to new donor members that qualify with their continuing contributions.
At this time, please help us focus on the bill and let us all work to get it passed.

greyhair, please be sober...Grassley is not a lame duck. If given a chance Grasseley will throw out every single immigrant out of this country even the ones who have earned citizenship 50 years ago. We will learn eventually what he is negotiating. What we may be seeing right now could be just the tip of the iceburg. Since we are out of the H1B loop doesn't mean it is not a issue for anybody anymore. The best you can do is either be quiet or atleast be sober. Thankyou

You are talking as if you are either cannot understand English well/ do not have much education / are really scared when a lawyer wrote something/ committing fraud through your own company and hiring H1Bs.

What is there to find out later? Why can't you spend sometime yourself and read the amendment? Do not get scared. Each issue can be argued in favor and against. A hard core criminal can be argued as a saint and a saint can be argued as a criminal and won. So this does not mean the saint is a criminal. It only means the person arguing was good but not truthful. Look deep in your heart and see what you believe. Do you want fraud to be there or you want an honest system where only deserving people come to this great country? And just don't get scared again when someone discusses the law.
