Mr Sharma, dont know what you stand for and what your interests are but please rest asured that we are all very well aware of what the "tip of the iceberg" means in this case. Seeing the tip actually is considered beneficial since it helps navigate around the danger and thats exactly what we are doing now. We are speeding every single person who is backlogged to his/her EAD and eventually 485 clearance. Find one member of IV that is genuinely concerned and then we can debate about this issue. So far only Gred shiskind and you?? Audits are not new to a backlogged EB guy. I was on 140 audit for 2 years. There are atleast 25% among us who were on various stages on H1b audits often stuck for serveral months abroad seperated from families. My request to you and Greg is that pls dont be over concerned about audits that might be imposed on larger employers. We are well aware of this issue and are willing to take the "so called" risk.

As some members have pointed out, its time to refocus.
Check out Neelu8's post from yesterday to understand the amendment. Read the amendment itself if you get a chance..its not rocket science. Try to dispel rumors out there that are attempted at scaring people out of their wits. Even several immigration lawyers have pointed out that this amendment is a watered down/diluted version of some of the previous proposals from Sen.Grassley's office and that it should have no issue sailing through the Congress.
Focus on getting HR3012 through and nothing else.

You have been a strong supporter of HR 3012 on your blog and website so I commend you on that. I would just say that you got a little worked up because a mention of some bad apples in the immigration lawyer community was brought forth. Who does not have bad apples in their midst? To categorically assume that all immigration lawyers are inherently good would be a stretch.

One thing I can tell you is that I am definitely not smoking or drinking. Are you? Probably not.

Very well said. While following up Senator Grassley for the last several months, I have started to realize that there is no other MORE patriotic person in entire senate than Mr. Grassley. Believe it or not Greg, every 3rd employer makes fraud with the H-1B system and you know this very very well. So what is wrong if Mr. Grassley is trying to audit them?!? Are you not patriotic Mr. Greg?!?
