I found this in the Compete-America article:-
"Exemptions for U.S. educated foreign workers with advanced degrees in math, science, technology and engineering fields from the H-1B and EB quotas so their talent can be retained in the United States. "
Does this mean that MBA graduates from US universities will not benefit from this?

Sorry if this question has been asked a 100 times before..

I undertsand, and agree with what Pappu says. If STRIVE doesnot go through, then this will be debated, and most likely passed.

What we always never discuss but is crucial is IRAQ. Iraq will be a big factor, if white house is flexible to work with democrats on iraq budget and other things, I think the Prez. would be able to call for favors within Democrats and muster some support in his own party to push immigration. He, at present, doesnot give appearance of flexibility on Iraq, and this could upset lot of democrats and hence STRIVE or other immigration bills when immigration issue (which white house supports) comes up.

So its a good thing that we have another SKIL as back up in case STRIVE doesnot go through.

Man! I have been keeping my fingers crossed for so long, that they are now stuck in that position.
...BOTH my fingers and toes have been crossed, since last year! To some (queries at my work-place), I just tell them it's a meditative technique to improve focus and concentration...

When? No one can predict this - but, we can do whatever IV instructs us to, to achieve our common goal!

Hopefully, we realize it this year!!!

MBA means Master of Business Administration, so it is neither math, nor science nor technology nor engineering.

Default SKIL Bill

Why core team is not talking about it yet? I think it is a big deal that this SKIL bill has been reintroduced but very few people are interested in it so far....

My company's Vice president sent the email and skill bill text attached to all the employees. He served as the Texas State coordinator of the Indian American Friendship Council (IAFC) a national, non-profit organization. He had a very number of opportunities to meet and work with many US policy makers including US Senator John Cornyn (4th highest ranking person in the Republican Party).
