As a regular Nightly watcher, I just watched the segment.

He could have sounded little more confident, IMO.

Good effort though.

The whole thing came together very suddenly due to a phone call last night from a reporter.

My interview was for well over 2.5 hours and I am not sure why they chose only this particular shot. A lot of our discussion was around the Green Card problem and I had also requested them to mention Immigration Voice. Unfortunately none of that came up. Well anyways good to see that the press is beginning to take interest in our issues.

All coverage of our cause is great. Our cause is Sooooooooo just. Even the oppenents like Sessions and Cornyn and Kyl have a problem opposing our cause.
Sad part is that we are bundled with the illegals. This is our curse, otherwise 90% of the country will favour us.
Siva did us a great service by his future being comapared to Grove,Brin and Omidyar! If he is half as successful I am sure we will all be proud. No offence Siva, but you realise these are big boots! However I want to make one point, ONE OF US will be that in years to come. Many things including luck will determine that. However I truly believe that this will happen.

Now that the newscast is done, I can say a bit more about how this came about.

On March 28, Tuesday I got an email from a friend saying an NBC reporter is looking for a certain kind of subject (4pm PST). I got her contact info by 5:30 pm PST. The reporter called me back at 5:45 pm PST. We talked for a while, I sent her the Roll Call article and the hunt for a suitable subject started -- a problem cos it was after work and late on the east coast. Furious activity looking for a suitable subject, and by 7:30 pm PST the reporter was in touch with Siva.

So the whole thing came together in 2 hours! This is highly unusual -- we usually have to work on a reporter for weeks or even months before anything happens.

Then the next morning the NBC crew showed up at Siva's place. They interviewed and recorded him for 2.5 hours. This is how it usually happens -- 2 hrs of footage chopped down to a couple minutes.

I am on PST so haven't seen the footage yet.

People, people,People!!!

Even 2 minutes of coverage on NBC nightly news is worth a million bucks!

I know traditional news coverage is declining, BUT STILL you guys have little idea how SIGNIFICANTLY a little coverage like that which puts OUR CAUSE in perspective affects our cause.

This is nothing but positive for us.

THANKS siva for taking that time to do this. We appreciate your sacrifice of time and other things.

I am thrilled at this coverage. CONGRATS!!!

It was nice to watch NBC news today. They acknowledged our presence in this country. Kudos to everyone in this effort.
