Default Stuart Anderson(NFAP) on Fox News 8:10 EST

Stuart Anderson, the Exec Director of National Foundation of American policy will be on Fox News Channel (Cable) on Sunday May 28th at around 8:10 AM EST.

His Bio is on NFAP site here:

http://www.nfap.net/about/biographies/

Stuart helped us to have a chance to speak at an event recently in Washinton DC last Monday on 22nd May, where Sen. Cornyn also spoke in favor of the legal side of immigration. Media was also hugely present in this event.

We thank Stuart for allowing us to speak at last Monday's event and wish him the best in tommorow's Fox News Channel interview.

Default Not to be missed!

This is not to be missed!

Stuart Anderson appears to be a very knowledgeable person - somebody who worked on the Policy & Planning side of the erstwhile INS, and also worked in the offices of 2 senators, including Sam Brownback.

It is rumored that he was the original author of the 'soft cap' clause in his previous avatar in the Senate!

The Policy document Legal Immigrants: Waiting Forever that he has co-authored is great news - it is a scholarly collection & analysis of the data that is the story of our lives!

So this should be an interesting talk!

It was a short interview (<10 mins). He was asked what needs to be fixed in the legal immigration system. He replied that with the new bill congress has expanded the legal immigration numbers a bit but it is not enough. That there are long waits. He talked about how a highly skilled H1B person has to wait more than 5 years before getting a GC. Another point that I was impressed was he specifically spoke about how a H1B is prevented from opening a new company. ie provide employment for others till he/she gets a gc. They cannot approach venture capitalists. The govt. is therefore interfering with innovation. That the govt. is preventing new initiatives in silicon valley etc.

He also talked baout how a family based immigrant has to wait a long time. He was asked how the CIS shoudl fix it. He said more use of technology and resources. He mentioned, these are people playing by the rules.
