Volunteers needed for IV documentary

Couple of our volunteers in Los Angeles Area have volunteered to prepare a 10 minute documentary on immigration issues faced by hi-skills legal immigrants because of delays in greencard process.

We need candidates to be on this documentary who are:

1. Living in LA area or willing to travel to LA area if possible.(if you are not in LA or around, you still can do something, see below)
2. Willing to do a Q&A on Camera for documentary that will be posted on this website and other websites pushing for similar causes.
3. Have a compelling case of problems in life or career for self/family because of greencard delays.

If you are not in Los Angeles Area:

You can still email your story. Although you may not be seen in the film, your story would be mentioned.

This is an opportunity for all of you

Friends, please volunteer, especially if you have a good case and you live in or near Los Angeles. There is nothing to fear and a lot of Immigration Voice Core members have been on TV, Cable, Newspapers etc and its absolutely a wonderful opportunity to be heard about the unbearable pain these delays cause us in our lives and careers.

IV core members have been in media MANY times.

Aman Kapoor(Fox News, Washington Post), Shilpa Ghodgaonkar(Washington Post, South Asia Insider), Siva Singaram(NBC), Pratik Dakwala (FOX 2-Bay area) are just to quote a few.

None of these guys have been deported, fired, stoned or died. They are alive, well, working and proud to have been there to show up when needed.

We are legal immigrants. Even if you are illegal, you shouldnt be afraid to speak up. If legal hi-skills educated immigrants shy away from exercising constitutional rights of speaking up, then what can we say?

I live in bayarea. If we have't found enough people from LA, i can drive to LA.
If more people wants to join documentary efforts from bay area , we all can car pool together.

Our fellow marchers,

The two of us, here in LA, are trying to hear as many stories as possible and get all the information to write our script. The more compelling the stories, the more powerful this documentary can be.

This is a collective voice and we are all in this together. Think of this as our chance to make this voice heard. All of us who are part of this struggle are giving our best in creating world-class software, products & services. But most of all, we are providing some of the best years of our life to this adopted homeland of ours. In return, we are living our life in a holding pattern instead of realizing our potential to the fullest.

Please do come forward and share your stories with us. People who are not in LA can still be a part of this, email us your stories. We will figure out a way to weave you in If you wish to stay anonymous, let us know and we will not mention your names, we just want to understand your life stories.

The broader our understanding of the issues that all of us are facing, the stronger the script would come out to be.

I would be happy to speak up but just an FYI, we donot have any constitutional rights. We are second class citizens at the best, and slaves in a different form at worst.And that is not ranting of someone who has been in line for half a decade. Here's the proof.
I love skeet shooting but the law prevents me (or anyone who is on a "nonimmigrant" visa) from buying a gun. Thats second amendment rights that were awarded to everyone living in the USA.
