Fingerprint fee rejected and notice mailed; case in suspense

Hi Guys please help me

Yesterday i got my receipt i check the status online the status is saying

Receipt Number: LINXXXXXXXX
Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS
Current Status: Fingerprint fee rejected and notice mailed; case in suspense.
On August 21, 2007, we rejected your fingerprint fee and mailed you instructions for how to submit the necessary payment. This case is now in suspense.
Please submit your payment with our notice as soon as possible after you receive our notice so we may resume processing of this case.


But USCIS cashed my checks i didn't know what went worng the total amount i paid is 325+70,170,180.

Did any guys get same kind of problem?

It might be a glitch in thier system, if u know u have paid the correct fees then relax.

Call USCIS on Monday and tell them that they cashed the checks. They should be able to correct the status.

Dont panic... yet. On your I485 receipt notice, there's an amount mentioned. What's that amount?

Same happened to us. The checks were cashed and we have even received the appointment notices for biometrics. My lawyer told me that there have been several cases lake this one. He is going to submit proof of the checks being cashed and copy of the notices to the USCIS.

Same here...We received same FP fees rejected notice but checks are cashed. Our lawyer mailed the proof of cashed checks for 325 + 70. But to our surprise even before that we received appointment for FP.

I think this is common error on USCIS system. Most probably they will send you FP appointment notice. So relax..

I talked to my lawyer and they said the checks has been encashed. I talked to an IO, and he said that they did receive the $70. But I asked them why the status saying FP fee rejected. TO that he replied I dont see that. But since we have mailed you a notice, you go acheck the contect of the notice after you receive it.
But my lawyer send an info from AILA, which says that the USCIS is erroneously rejecting the cases inspite of sending the correct fees.
I dont know what to do ?

I am a July 2nd filer and my checks cashed August 14th. I got the receipts on August 20th from my lawyer and am waiting for my FP notice. Does anyone know how long does it take to get the FP Notice?

Folks...it looks like I have been given membership to this exclusive club, by USCIS...

My status on USCIS Online case tracker shows,

"Current Status: Fingerprint fee rejected and notice mailed; case in suspense."

When I spoke with my attorney, he says, There are two options.

1. I can dispute and in turn get my processing delayed
2. Repay the fingerprint fees ($70) and forget about my first payment

Naturally, anyone would prefer option - 2.

I Called The Lawyer And Asked For Reciept Number

I Check The Status Online Of All Rnos And Found The Error Msg

I Got The Same Error Mail Of Fp Notice Rejected For Me And Not My Wife
Amount Is Correct 395 ( 325 + 70)

Lawyer Called Me Today And Asked If I Had Got Fp Notice And Said No But The Lawyer Got The Notice And Said She Has Mailed Me The Fp Notice Which Is Scheduled On Set 26th

Probably Will Call Lawyer And Ask Her What's Going On

The avg waiting time is about a month.

My status is showing the same. FP fee rejected.....etc. But my wife status was fine. I don't have any clue about what's going on.
