The compressed view in tracker is a very useful feature.
Similar thing can exist while filling out the information as well, and RFEs can be part of advanced.

Some would say PD should be given preference predominantly benefiting EB3(I).

If they follow the current spill-over rules, as you are aware, EB category would be given preference.
Thanks for the reply. I am not sure how that will divide the community. As per USCIS laws currently, the spillover is horizontal. Based on this assumption, will EB3-I get any visas if the recapture is successful?

When USCIS changed the laws, there was a bloodbath here between Eb3 and EB2 folks...
Looks like you were not aware of it!

Here is a post from Ron Gotcher's website which might be of interest to some of us trapped in EB3 I retrogression .
http://www.immigration-information.c...ead.php?t=7065

He expects visa bulletin cut off for EB3 I to jump to 2004 in coming months. No reasoning behing this though..

That looks very positive. Hope all EB3-I from 2001 to 2003 (even 2004) get their approvals this year. My best wishes are with them.
There is a limit to everyone's suffering.

There are only 35000 EB3 visas available. India quota is 2450. India is now in Oct 2001 and ROW is not current yet. How come India PD will move to 2004?

I have seen many such reports from Dec 2004. We all wait till the last quarter only to face disappointment. That happened last year. What is different in this year?

Also there are lots of Eb3_india gyus are waiting with PD being current. PD being current is not important. Getting GC is important.

Go figure!

Ron has not made prediction specifically about India. Somebody asked Ron about filing I-485 with May 2004 PD without mentioning that (s)he was from India. So Ron probably assumed RoW. The OP later clarified that (s)he is from India and Ron hasn't replied to that. So let's wait for Ron to reply before getting excited about it.

If Ron meant EB3-I, he's probably expecting a July 2007 kind of bump, which allows a lot of people to file but results in very few approvals. This can be inferred from his statement that, "your priority date will become current, briefly, in a few months".

We EB3-I's are looking for any sign, just any sign of hope. But let's be cautious in disseminating such information further.

EB3 - ROW is already 01MAY05. He would not be saying 2004 for sure on EB3 ROW.

Good point. Eliminating that option, he must be talking about the year-end surge in EB3-I becasue he said that PD will become current briefly.

Default Might be EB2-I

Might be EB2-I. EB3-I becoming current I don't think so.
