Question Marriage Certificate- Pls Help

Hello Gurus,
Can someone help me with my situation where My marriage certificate is available from the Priest (who performed our marriage), which I used for H4 Visa for my Wife. I also submitted an affidavit from my Wife, stating her last name was changed due to Marriage
They accepted that for H4 Visa.

However based on the forums, looks like they accept only a Registered Marriage certificate. And getting one from my Country(India) is not that easy.
They expect both wife and husband be there to get the Marriage Certificate.

Does anyone know, is there any thing I need to do like, submitting affidavits for Marriage Certificate.

Anyone in similar situation.

Appreciate your response.

Default Get it from County clerk here

You can take the 'certificate of marriage' given by Priest to the local county clerk and get a state registered marriage certificate. It was quite easy when we did it few years back in Ohio.

They do accept affidavits, you can submit a certificate from the priest along with two affidavits and get it notorized.

Thanks for the response.

Is the affidavit from Parents and In-Laws OK?

Is there a specific format I need to use, similar to one given for Birth Certificate? Sample is copied below?

I __________________ (name) being the _________________ (relationship father, mother, sister, brother, aunt, uncle), to ______________ (FN name), reside at ___________________ (address, including country), do hereby solemnly affirm and state on oath as follows:

I declare that _________________ is my (son/daughter/brother/sister/niece/
nephew). He/She was married on __(Date)_____ in (town, country) and that ______________ (father’s name) is his/her father and _____________ (mother’s name) is his/her mother.

______________________________
Signature of Dependent

Thanks
