WRONG!!!!!
Call the USCIS number. Listen to the automated voice. It clearly explains where to mail the packet to. I have called the 800 number and this is what I learned - If you are applying with a copy of I-140 approval, then send your package to the exact address on your I-140 approval. If you are applying with a receipt of I-140, then also send your package to the exact address on the I-140 receipt. If you are joint filing I-140 and I-485, then there is only ONE address to send your package to which you can get from USCIS website or 800 number. Quote:

IV members have saved all of us a lot of money on attorney phone calls, getting answers to medical test questions and other general questions. Please contribute to IV so that we can keep this effort going. While everybody is busy collecting documents and paperwork for 485, core IV again is doing their personal paperwork and + lobbying.
Please contribute, especially if you are new and never contributed. Please do not be a freeloader and get your questions answered and run away. |

On the USCIS website, however, said that "Effective 7/24/06, all stand alone Forms I-485 based on a pending or an approved Form I-140 should be mailed directly to the Nebraska Service Center. Forms accompanying the I-485 (e.g., Form I-131 and/or I-765) should also be filed at the Nebraska Service Center." |

Please see the updated memo, you can now send it to either TX or NE.
Well, that 2006 memo is now overridden. See the last post in: http://immigrationvoice.org/forum/sh...8888#post88888 |

Lasantha:
They have made an exception in the last line of the memo: quote: "USCIS will accept Forms I-129F, I-131, I-140, I-360, I-485, I-765 and I-907 filed with the new “Direct Filing” location in advance of the July 30, 2007 effective date, that are otherwise properly filed." |
